किसानों का भारत को जोड़ने में बहुत बड़ा योगदान है - उनका उगाया हुआ अनाज देश की हर थाली का हिस्सा है, मगर उनकी इस तपस्या को सही फल और सम्मान नहीं मिलता।

भारत जोड़ो यात्रा अपने अगले चरण में सोनीपत, हरियाणा के खेतों में रुकी। मेरी मुलाकात दो किसान भाइयों, संजय मलिक और तसबीर कुमार से हुई। वो बचपन के जिगरी दोस्त हैं, जो कई सालों से एक साथ किसानी कर रहे हैं। जहां संजय जी ने ज़मीन सरकार से लीज़ पर ले रखी है, वही तसबीर जी उनके साथ 25% के ठेके पर काम करते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि किसानी में हर पांच साल में से 3 साल मौसम के कारण नुकसान झेलना पड़ता है और ऐसी स्थिति में उन्हें सरकार की सहायता की ज़रूरत पड़ती है।

पुरुष, महिलाएं, बच्चे, सभी खेतों में मौजूद थे - धान की रोपाई का खास दिन था। उनके साथ मिल कर खेतों में हाथ बटाया, ट्रैक्टर चलाया, धान बोया, दिल खोल कर कई बातें हुईं। महिलाओं ने घर की रोटियां खिलाई और अपने जीवन के बारे में बातचीत की। उनमें से किसी ने भी अब तक दिल्ली नहीं देखी थी। उन्होंने दिल्ली देखने की इच्छा जताई, और मुझे सब के साथ और वक़्त बिताने का मौक़ा मिला।

सीधे-सादे, सच्चे और समझदार हैं भारत के किसान, अपने अधिकार भी पहचानते हैं। ज़रूरत आने पर काले कानूनों के खिलाफ़ डट जाते हैं तो साथ में MSP और बीमा की सही मांग भी उठाते हैं। अगर हम उन्हें सुने, उनकी बात समझें तो देश की कई समस्याएं सुलझ सकती हैं।
