पांच साल में ऐसा चौथी बार है जब केरल में निपाह वायरस का प्रकोप बढ़ा है. हालिया आउटब्रेक में दो मरीज मारे गए हैं और अबतक 6 मरीजों की पुष्टि हुई है. 950 की संख्या में ऐसे लोग हैं जो निपाह मरीजों के संपर्क में आए. दो सौ से ज्यादा लोग हाई-रिस्क कैटगरी में हैं. दर्जनों स्वास्थकर्मी भी मरीजों के संपर्क में आए हैं. कई लोग सर्विलांस पर भी रखे गए हैं.
This is the fourth time in five years that the outbreak of Nipah virus has increased in Kerala. Two patients have died in the recent outbreak and 6 patients have been confirmed so far. There are 950 people who came in contact with Nipah patients. More than two hundred people are in high-risk category. Dozens of health workers have also come in contact with the patients. Many people have also been kept on surveillance.
