Founder and Director of KD Campus Coaching Institute, Neetu Singh, filed a legal case against Telegram Company in Delhi High Court. The case was filed because her course lectures and Books were being supplied by some people for free on the Telegram Platform.
And the bad news for you guys is Delhi High Court's ultimate decisions were against Telegram, and the court issued an order of 51 pages.
In that court order, it has been clearly mentioned by Justice M Pratibha Singh that Telegram is now bound to reveal the mobile number, Email Addresses, and IP Addresses of the people who are engaged in these activities of supplying free movies, web series through their channels on Telegram.
Before losing this legal case, Telegram used to put the excuse that the data of Telegram channel admins who are distributing the copyright-protected content for free, is stored in the servers of Singapore. And according to some laws of Singapore, Telegram can't share data regarding those admins.
Overriding all these excuses, Delhi High Court indicated that if Telegram wants to keep its services running in India, it has to perform according to all the Indian Laws. And the real point that's worth pondering is that we never which link we click is going to come out to be ransomware.
