For social media users in India, it is impossible to have missed Puneet Superstar's antics: from his rants against pretentious "kothi-bangle"(upper-class) people to the unimaginable things he does (like putting slippers on his face) for comedy.

Every content creation step—production, distribution, and monetization—is different in the case of Puneet. He often creates more videos daily than most creators make in a year. Innumerable meme pages reshape and circulate his content. And instead of sponsors, Puneet has found other ways to make money, like smashing cakes on his face.

Puneet Kumar epitomizes how the internet is constantly dismantling establishments: early creators broke the monopoly of corporations (film studios, music labels, etc.), and now, in turn, new-age artists like Puneet subvert the standards of established creators.

Special thanks to @Dostcast for featuring Puneet Superstar in his podcasts and letting us see the man underneath all that paagalpan. They offer great insights about his art while also being thoroughly enjoyable.

Hi. I am Sourabh Yadav, a freelance writer and filmmaker. My channel is an odd mix of films, literature, and comedy. Some of my work includes

•A modern adaptation of the Balcony Scene in Romeo and Juliet.
• A 2-min short film called "Ek Baar Bolke Toh Dekh", which got me selected among the Top 50 filmmakers in the TakeTen (Netflix & FilmCompanion) competition, 2022.
• "The Possibilities of Priya", which won the Silver Award at Talking Films Online's Smartphone Contest.

Besides these, I also have two short films about my college life: "(1000) Days of DU" and "(101) Nights of JNU", both of which are very close to my heart. If you are studying for the M.A. English entrances or UGC NET, check out my preparation videos.
